Hop on your air-conditioned bus for a complete circle island tour of Moorea in a leisurely pace as your guide relates entertaining stories about the island’s legends, culture and history. Witness the islands natural lush beauty and dramatic views with highlight stops at Cook’s & Opunohu Bay, Ia Ora panoramic lookout view point and the historic Papetoai Protestant Church (the first church to be established in the South Pacific).
One of the main highlights is a rare visit inland of Opunohu valley to view local plantations of pineapple and other crops that sustain the island’s economy. A special stop at an ancient archeological stone temple site (marae) to learn about a past (but not forgotten) civilization that once worshipped on these sacred grounds. From here you continue up the twisty road up to the Belvedere lookout summit for a spectacular breathtaking view below of the islands two famous bays. A fun stop is made at Moorea’s fruit juice factory where you can sample fruit liquors at their souvenir gift boutique.
