Half day safari 4x4 (4-hours) :
Take an exciting tour in our 4-wheel drive vehicle with an English-speaking driver/guide to visit inside the main volcanic crater that formed the island millions of years ago. Enjoy a short drive along the scenic east coast of black sand surfing beaches before turning inland at the mouth of the island’s largest river and valley, Papeno’o. Enjoy views of thick rainforests, archeological sites and multiple photogenic waterfalls. An opporunity to have a swim in natural freshwater pools is optional, pending on conditions.
Stops include: Topatari waterfall, eels stop, Vaihaururu waterfall, Puraha waterfall, Visit of the Marae, Flora presentation, swimming at Pona Ora
Full day safari 4x4 with lunch (8-hours) :
Enjoy an amazing adventure trip in a 4X4 vehicle to cross the heart of Tahiti’s volcanic crater where the island was born millions of years ago. Learn the geology, history, and legends of the island with our knowledgeable friendly local guide. Stop to view numerous waterfalls with opportunities to swim in natural cool river pools. A lunch snack is served at “Relai de la Maroto” restaurant before continuation deeper into the valley to transit through a mountain via a unique tunnel to enter into the west coast of the Tahiti. From here, you shall descend the mountain with amazing panoramic views to discover Lake Vaihiria far below, the only natural lake on the island with blue eyed eels. The balance of your adventure is circling the island along the scenic coastal road to return to your hotel.
