Exploration dive - Rangiroa
Come and discover the Tiputa Pass. With its currents, the Tiputa Pass offers numerous diving opportunities for certified divers.
During the outgoing current, you will dive along the reef.
Outside the pass, the reef's marine life is particularly abundant, offering encounters with grey reef sharks among schools of tropical fish.
It is also along the reef that you can see the Rangiroa bottlenose dolphin family, known for being playful and curious.
During the incoming current, you will enjoy a drift dive starting from the pass entrance, where grey reef sharks congregate, through the pass to see the extraordinary marine life in the canyons in the middle of the pass, and ending in the lagoon amidst magnificent coral gardens.
You can do up to 3 dives per day, chosen according to the tide times:
7:30 am
9:00 am
1:30 pm
3:30 pm, the "sunset" dive (minimum 3 people, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). Since the dive center is located very close to the Tiputa Pass, the minimum one-hour surface interval will be spent comfortably on the club's deck.
We offer you the opportunity to enjoy a delicious local meal between your morning and afternoon dives.
As we strive to manage the snack bar in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way, we serve local fish and vegetables and only prepare the necessary amount. Order before your 10:00 am dive and relax when you return.
If you don't yet have a diving certification or aren't sure if you'll enjoy it but would like to try, we offer introductory dives. You'll enjoy your first dive in the lagoon, sheltered from the current, in a coral garden, among schools of colorful fish.
If you've always wanted to learn to dive and explore beneath the surface, you can learn with attentive instructors at one of the most beautiful dive sites in French Polynesia.
If it's been a while since your last dive, we offer refresher dives.
If you don't wish to dive, you can enjoy a snorkeling session, drifting along the reef and in the Tiputa Pass. You might even be lucky enough to see dolphins and sharks as you drift with the current or float above the reef. (Ages 8 and up)
You can also explore the calm waters of "the aquarium," where you'll discover a magnificent reef and a coral garden teeming with marine life—a truly colorful spectacle.
